I recently watched an episode of Extreme Cheapskates on Netflix, because it’s been a stressful week and I needed something mindless and also I always love new ways to save a dime! The show was…pretty gross. Apparently, extreme cheapskates think that other diners’ leftovers are fair game at restaurants and toilet paper is a luxury item. (And one man claims that he saves “thousands of dollars” a year on ketchup by refilling his bottles with packets he gleans from fast food restaurants. Thousands of dollars?)
But I did learn one good trick for emergencies. If you’re down to your last razor and it’s dull and you desperately need to shave anyway, rub it against the side of a box of kitchen matches and it’ll sharpen the blades right up. Clever!
